Somaliland sits on the Arabian-Nubian Shield, with gold, gemstone and lithium-bearing pegmatite belts in the north and large industrial-mineral deposits near the Berbera corridor. These are areas of interest we may evaluate — not ground Golis controls.
Gold
Gold is our first focus. Artisanal and small-scale gold is worked in Somaliland's northwest and northeast, and historical surveys recorded gold-bearing quartz veins in several districts. We source gold through licensed miners and dealers, and screen gold leads into projects.

Gemstones
Somaliland's Sanaag and Awdal belts host reported emerald, aquamarine, ruby, garnet and opal occurrences, largely worked by artisanal miners.

Strontium (celestite)
Celestite, the main ore of strontium, was recorded by the colonial geological survey in the gypsum beds of Somaliland's coastal plain. It is used for strontium chemicals, magnets and drilling fluids.

Lithium
Hard-rock lithium comes from pegmatites — coarse granitic veins carrying minerals such as spodumene and lepidolite. Published surveys report pegmatites in the western Golis Range and the Berbera hinterland, but lithium in Somaliland is at an early, largely untested stage. We screen pegmatite leads through independent geologists and accredited laboratories before anything is claimed.
