Investors & partners
We secure the ground and the agreements. You bring the capital or the capacity.
Golis Minerals develops mining projects in Somaliland through joint ventures. We take a stake and a management role, and we co-invest — so our return depends on the same outcome as yours.
Why Somaliland
- Under-explored geology on the Arabian-Nubian Shield, with known gold, gemstone and industrial-mineral occurrences
- A working mining code and a government actively seeking responsible investment
- The Port of Berbera and its upgraded corridor cutting export costs
- A young workforce and long-established artisanal mining to build from
What we bring
- Ground secured under licence before capital is committed
- Government and community agreements handled by people who live here
- Technical work commissioned to recognised international standards
- A local partner co-invested in the same outcome
What we are looking for
- Equity and project-finance partners for gold and industrial-mineral joint ventures
- Operators with plant and mining capacity open to a Somaliland JV
- Offtake partners willing to pre-commit to supply
How a JV comes together
Structured before capital is committed
We do the origination and de-risking first. A partner comes in once the licence is held and the local agreements are in place.
- 01We identify an opportunity and secure the mineral licence.
- 02Community and government agreements are negotiated and documented.
- 03Exploration or feasibility work is commissioned to recognised standards.
- 04A JV is structured; the partner brings capital, plant or offtake.
- 05An operator is appointed and the project is built and run.
- 06Product is marketed, with Golis managing the local interface throughout.
Early-stage, and honest about it
Golis Minerals is a new company. We do not have producing assets or closed transactions to point to yet. What we have is the local standing to originate and de-risk projects, and founders whose interests are tied to making them work. If that is the stage you invest at, let's talk.
